This beautiful floating theatre, built in 1993 on the occasion of the election of Antwerp as the cultural capital of Europe, was transformed into a multi-purpose event hall in 2002. With a total surface area of more than 800m², De Ark is the ideal location for your event, both for small and large parties. The Venue
Step through the wide doors of our entrance hall and discover the versatility De Ark offers. To your left, the Glass Tower boasts panoramic views of the dock and the city of Antwerp. The upper deck has a a spacious terrace where your guests can relax while enjoying our high level catering. On the other side of the ship, the Great Hall awaits: A multifunctional space, ready to bring your party ideas to life.

Antwerp Urban Walk
Discover De Ark during the Antwerp Urban Walk
On 4 October, the Antwerp Urban Walk will take you right through De Ark. It’s a unique opportunity to discover our floating event venue at the Kattendijkdok in a completely different way.
As part of the route, you’ll walk through our distinctive event space and experience its unique architecture, different levels and views over the Antwerp docks. Who knows, you might just discover the perfect setting for your next corporate event, wedding or celebration along the way.
